Alternating pressure redistribution system — Improving pressure relief care and pressure ulcer prevention.

Domus 4 offers different modes to deliver pressure relief care, including dynamic, alternating pressure distribution and static, constant low pressure. Alternating support surface pressure prevents the skin and muscle tissues from breaking down due to withstanding against pressure for an extended time. During sleep, constant low pressure maintains pressure relief care and improves immersion and envelopment, allowing the patient to sleep comfortably.

Includes Heel Relief Function and CPR Knob.

Easily manage surface pressure

  • Provide effective pressure relief care with alternating pressure redistribution and constant low pressure modes.
  • Suitable for post-acute care patients.
  • Automatic adjustment for quick setup and pressure relief delivery.
  • Cell-in-cell air cells to avoid bottoming out when sitting.
  • Visual and audible alarm enhances patient safety and security.

The mattress's ventilation design wicks away moisture and keeps the patient comfortable without losing cell firmness.

Easy-to-use pump interface gives caregivers access to switch between pressure settings and optimise care.

Cell-in-cell design ensures the buttocks area stays inflated to support the patient from bottoming out.

Cover with zippers that run around the mattress simplifies cover removal for cleaning and maintenance.

FAQ
What does it mean when air cells have cell-in-cell? What are their benefits?

Cell-in-cell design refers to encapsulating a firm air cell within a larger outer cell, doubling the effect of firmness and stability for patients. Wellell’s Domus Series, including Domus 4, uses air cells with the cell-in-cell design in the sacrum area to improve patient support and comfort during sitting positions and when patients leave and enter the bed.

What material is the cover made of?

The cover is made with nylon/PU and is vapor permeable, fire-resistant, and water-resistant. See specifications for more details on the fire-retardant standards.

What materials are the air cells made from?

All air cells are made from Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU). It is highly resistant to breaking down when in contact with water (hydrolysis), soft to touch, and minimises friction and noise during patient movements.
