Importance of sleep

Sleep is essential in recharging the body and mind and ensuring proper brain functioning throughout the day.1 Poor sleep quality or insufficient sleep over time impairs our physical and psychological health and performance, such as trouble concentrating, awareness and response to stimuli quickly, and difficulties processing long and short-term memory.2 Establishing a satisfactory sleep cycle strengthens our immune system and protects against diseases like the common cold,3 prevents excess stress on our body and allows us to live freely and actively.
