Sleep Apnea Increases Susceptibility to Pneumonia

The mortality rates of sepsis patients with and without sleep apnea were 60.1% and 47.9%, respectively 4. Sleep apnea appeared to confer a higher risk for future pneumonia, possibly in a severity-dependent manner 5
